More than three weeks spent in Switzerland, along beside the delightful Lac Lèman, was a treat indeed. Naturally, not all was wonderful, but that is life…

What was great in particular was the quality of light and the constantly changing scenario of the lake and mountains viewed from the windows.

And then walking and walking in the fresh outdoors going to and from mountains – enjoying the splendid vistas and magic of hiking along rushing mountain streams.

Friends too, added the necessary touch, making the stay special…

Getting back to the quality of light – bright and fresh with intense blue skies stimulated my imagination and had me painting (on smaller scale canvases, as the situation presented itself) but keeping me going on the particular track that I am pursuing at present.

The return to Warsaw brought the confirmation that Shibani has become my partner and was indeed joining me in the day-to-day running of the Atelier–Gallery and is full of bubbly ideas for the future.

A GARAGE-SALE organized by the ever-energetic Aleksandra, politician and antique dealer, that took place last sunny Sunday sparked interest at the activities of “60 on Warszawska” on the outskirts of Konstancin on the way to Wilanów where the Atelier is located, next to ‘SKŁAD Design’ run by the lovely Joasia. A new café – ‘SMACZNEGO!’ has just opened and the visitors sure appreciated it.

It was a pleasure to enjoy the Spring visions in Switzerland with magnificent magnolias in bloom and more…but now I get to have a second Spring in Warsaw as it starts a month later…and blossoms are everywhere one looks, transforming the sometimes stark-looking city into a softer greener one with the addition of a multitude of blossoming fruit trees planted all over the city.
